Its nice to see from the photos that the Rat is still the same. I use to work in the pub about 5 yrs ago when Les and scott ran it. Do you still have 'Muppets Corner' where the locals sit and Do they still do the German beer Festival. I must come back and visit sometime.

Well done on gaining cask marque recognition, I just spotted it when looking on their web site for somewhere to visit in Ripon. I see what they mean my beers were great and I had plenty!!!

My wife and I come from Sheffield, reputedly the Real Ale Capital of England but are moving to Wath just outside Ripon in the near future. What a fantastic area and best of all one of My favourite pubs, I for one can't wait. Keep up the great work Dave & Ruth.

So understated that you may even miss it.A long thin room with so many fonts that you can hardly see the fridges behind never mind the friendly bar staff.

Probably the best kept ales you will find anywhere - yes I really mean anywhere! Good selection of continental lagers and fruit wines. In fact everything for the discerning palate. Come visit and enjoy the warm welcome and great conversation.
